What is hypnosis?

Hypnosis is very much like an interactive form of meditation.  It is a state of deep relaxation in which you speak with your inner mind, gaining insight and solutions into the persistent challenges of your daily life.  It is a way of reconnecting with yourself, so that decisions become easier to make and your willpower to support those decisions becomes magnified. Hypnosis does NOT strip you of your control or your awareness.  Quite the contrary, it works to enhance both.

What does a hypnotherapist do?

A well-trained hypnotherapist will teach you how to draw upon your own resources, so that you independently can achieve all that you desire to accomplish.  A hypnotherapist is much like a private investigator for your inner world; she can help you to "see" things about yourself, of which you currently may not be aware, so that you then can make life choices more easily and in a manner that is more consistent with who you truly are.

Will I need to engage in hypnosis for years, before I see any results?

No.  Although some people choose to engage in long-term hypnosis for reasons related to self-development and personal growth, many people achieve their desired goals in five sessions or less.

Does hypnosis really work?

Yes, it does.  Hypnosis draws upon both ancient wisdom and modern science of the mind, creating a healing modality that is highly effective for most people.  Because hypnosis works to treat the root cause of an issue rather than simply reduce your experience of the noticeable symptoms, it even has been known to produce miraculous cures in situations where traditional medicine has failed.

What is THT and how can it help me?

THT (Touch Hypnosis Technique) is a form of instant hypnosis, which is induced simply by rubbing or tapping on a series of specific body points.  THT can be used to enhance your success with traditional guided hypnosis by first identifying and then helping to balance out unseen disruptions in your energy body.   Such disruptions, when left unattended, can lead to emotional upset, physical illness, and poor general functioning.  At Hypnotic Journeys, clients are taught how to perform THT on themselves in the very first session and are given a card with instructions to take with them.  Children as young as five years of age have used THT effectively on themselves!  Whether applied to physical pain, fear, emotional discomfort, stress, poor self-image, or undesirable cravings, THT can provide painless, lasting and even permanent results in as little as 60 seconds.
